An interesting day

I am pretty sure you all have seen these, have these, know someone who has these, or at least heard of these. These are Italian Charms. You link them together to make bracelets. I get complimented on mine all the time. They are quite the conversation starter. I also have the traditional dangly charm bracelet, but I dont wear it that often because it gets in the way of things, but I still buy charms to put on it. Today at work a customer complimented my bracelet and asked me where I got it.
Me: I got it, well everywhere. Each charm is from a different place
Her: Ive never seen anything like it! What is it called?
Me: An Italian Charm bracelet
Her: Oh your Italian? Wow! Funny you dont look Italian, you must take after another branch in your family tree huh?
Me: No Im not Italian, that is just the name of the bracelet. Its not from Italy, its just the style of it. (You stupid MORON!)

So then I get home from work today and there is an odd package on my table. I'm straining my brain to thing of anything I accidentally ordered off of some random online auction site. Crap! Did I forget to hit cancel bid for that can of turkey testicals? I give the odd little box a good once over before touching it. Hey ya never know in this day and age right? It looks weird, but harmless. I open up said package and find a pair of pink fuzzy socks wrapped in bright green tissue, no note, no nothing. Even my cat is looking strangly at the socks. I toss them aside and go about fixin dinner, tidying up, ya know the ususal. I keep glancing at them and thinking, WHO THE HELL IS Suzie??? Then while on the potty, it hits me.....DING! Not Suzie, SOOZIE!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH socks, shoes, I GET IT!!! So thank you Badoozier Lady! My first blog package! I feel so special!! In my LIFE I have received only 2 care packages, now I can rack up another one! I LOVE PACKAGES! Especially when I didnt have to buy it!

Here are the above mentioned socks! Hope your not offended if I wash em before I put em on myMickey Mouse.

Just a joke to get you through the weekend :)

My Uncle (an airline mechanic) sent this to me..............enjoy!

Airline Cabin Announcements I

All too rarely, airline attendants make an effort to make the in flight "safety lecture" and announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:

1. On a Southwest flight 245 (SW has no assigned seating, you just sit where you want) passengers were apparently having a hard time choosing, when a flight attendant announced, "People, people we're not picking out furniture here, find a seat and get in it!"

2. On a Continental Flight with a very "senior" flight attendant crew, the pilot said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants."

3. On landing, the stewardess said, "Please be sure to take all of your belongings. If you're going to leave anything, please make sure it's something we'd like to have.

4. "There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane"

5. "Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."

6. As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Ronald Reagan, a lone voice came over the loudspeaker: "Whoa, big fella. WHOA!"

7. After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in Memphis, a flight attendant on a Northwest flight a announced, "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted."

8. From a Southwest Airlines employee: "Welcome aboard Southwest Flight 245 to Tampa . To operate your seat belt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seat belt; and, if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised."

9. "In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with more than one small child, pick your favorite."

10. "Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we’ll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Southwest Airlines."

11. "Your seat cushions can be used for flotation; and, in the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore and take them with our compliments."

First day back blues

I hate the first day back at work after a wonderful vacation. It just bites all around. Princess didnt day two words to me until late in the day. Well, I didnt loose any lunch hour napping time over that :) I wanted to share some pictures with you all.

Here is me on Splash Mountain at Disney World. As you can see, I hated the ride :)

This is my favorite time of year in the valley of the grapes. Its mustard flower season. Mustard flowers blanket the beds of the vineyards. They are just in the begining stages but very soon there will be bright yellow mustard flowers against a lush green bed of grass. This is for you Momma K!

Here is a close up of the lil beauties! The rainbow was spotted on the way home as I was chatting with Momma K on my phone! It was so pretty I had to pull over and snap a picture! Thank goodness I had my digital camera with me! The picture does not do justice to it though! It was by far the BRIGHTEST rainbow that I have ever seen!

Back from Mecca!

Im finally back! Did you miss me? ..................Oh come on humor me and say yes you missed me GOBS! TONS even. Disney World was everything I dreamed it would be and more! Ive been asked what the high point of the trip was. I cannot pick out just one thing. One of the perks was being forced to sit up in FIRST CLASS on the way to Florida! Yes we got bumped up!!! Oh yeah!!!! The best part of that? Its difficult to choose betweent he warm towels for my face, the fresh fruit and juices and the comfy leather seats. Since I have to pick one, it definately was the PLETHORA of leg and elbow room I had!! Here you should find my Picasa Web album of my Disney World pictures, beware, there are 185 pictures! Some, uh not so good, but it gives you an idea of the FUN we had. My travel partner is Cynthia, I used to work with her. She got pretty sick on the trip. Struck with food poison on day 3 and a nasty chest cold on days 6-9. Sucked to be her. I got a cold the first 3 days. Pretty bad but it lightened up and I could still do stuff. Hers was so bad it knocked her out of commission completely for 2 days. BUMMER! I still had fun though. I actually went to Magic Kingdom by myself, ate dinner at a fancy restaurant by myself! It was weird at first I felt like the biggest looser in the western hemisphere, then it was kind of empowering. I called Momma K for a little pep talk before going into the nice restaurant all alone! All in all, it was a FANTASTIC experience and I cant WAIT until little Zy is 7 years old, so I can take her/him to mecca with Momma K!
