There I was minding my own business and playing with a vacation planning CD-Rom on my puter, when suddenly I was online! You see, I have not been able to get online for 2 days. SBC says that my lines have issues. DUH, I figured that out when I couldnt access the internet. I actually am computer literate. It frustrates me to NO END that everyone is outsourcing to flippin India! We have people here in the USA, starving and impoverished due to lack of jobs with a liveable wage. So naturally what do all these companies do? Go over to some crap hole country and give them the work! What ever happened to chartiy begins at HOME! Tangent sorry!
Anyways, SBC has told me for 2 days that they are "working on it". They also told me that oh the line department is off today being sunday. My reply to her was "so they arent working on it then" I stumped her. Apparently my reply was not on her list. I got angry and hung up. Why is it so difficult for them to put out a notice on their stupid never ending phone tree saying "if you live in the Northern Buttwipe regon of Yahoo State, we are aware of connections problems and are working hard to restore your service." Not too difficult eh? Apparently so. At work this morning, I had to be on hold with our help desk for 30 minutes only to find out that the problem I was reporting was global, they already knew, and they will call us when they get it fixed. Well, I left work at 2pm, no call, AND our problem was resolved thanks to yours truely using her cranium for something other than holding my ears apart.
PS. If I offended you.............too bad its my blog, if ya dont like it, dont read it. Freedom of speech and all that jazz. GO AMERICA!

The happiest day of her life, and mine too!
So, of the pics Ive had the pleasure of seeing thus far, these 4 are my favorites! Well, I have some others that actually are a little better, but I promised a certain someone, Id keep them a secret! But I like to tease so thats all Im giving you! The upper left is K & her father. That one is my absolute favorite picture! I LOVE IT! the upper right, is K, M, & myself dancin the night away in the rain, with a little help from the grape gods! Some SCREAMIN good wine, or maybe it was champagne. I dont really know, but I do know that I liked it so much I had 6 glasses! Im quite the boogier aint I? NOT, I am the POSTER GIRL of white chick cant dance but do anyway! The lower left is K & her Mom. Notice the amazing effort to hold back tears so as ot to ruin her makeup or make her eyelashes fall off! And last but definately not least, the first kiss as husband & wife! All together now..............................aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

One more thing, okay maybe two
I also wanted you to see Rajah's reactionto what I was doing. Im walking around the wood trying to get a good picture of it so you can fully appriciate the size of the stack and the neatness of said stacking job. I look up and there is my boy, just staring at me with this, "What the hell are you doing Mom?" look on his face. I also wanted you to see that our lawn is indeed GREEN in July! SHHHHH! Dont tell it that it rained until late May. I also accidentally eliminated the word PEOPLE from the previous post. Feel free to inject it where it needs to go.
Retirement has set in!
Here you see evidence that my father, is indeed, retired! The upper left is the first harvest from the garden to its right. As you can see by the size of the tomato plants, its quite humorous to only get one itty bitty cherry tomato! There is also some sweet basil in the middle there, its rather large itself to my surprise. The two lower pictures are my Dads, forced project. We have trying to get him to replace that fense for YEARS! Well, it got tired of standing up after 35 years, and decided to fall. Most normal would toss out the rotted wood. But as you see, my father pain stakenly stacked it on a wheel barrel. He says "It has a nice batena to it". I was not aware that rotten wood had batena (however you spell that word). So now, the only thing that seperates us fromour neighbors, is a little bit of concrete. Luckily, they are nice and actually helping with the cost of the fense like a good neighbor should.

Saw it, loved it, want it!
Okay, yesterday I went to see Pirates 2. I LOVED IT! Yes, some of the battle scenes were a bit lengthy, but it was still very good. They left an opening for a Pirates 3, which thankfully will have the origianl cast in it again. I think that is what seperates a sequal from a bad sequal......casting. People hate it when you take a perfectly good movie that has potential for a sqeual, and squash it with new casting. Im not a huge fam of sequals. There is only a handfull that I like. The Star Wars that came out when I was little ( Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi), Indiana Jones trillogy, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Lethal Weapon. Now, I can add to my list, Pirates of the Caribbean! I will definately be there opening weekend in May 2007 for the 3rd installment!

LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!! :o)
So there I was
, minding my own business and running some errands in town. THen, I spot it, in the window of one of those mail stores, WE SELL DISNEY KEYS! I was in that store in a flash! They had about 10 different Disney keys. I was so excited! Finally I have a house key that nobody will mistake for theirs! It was ony $5 too! Isnt it CUTE! The second picture is M showing off her Sweet 16 diamond ring that her Granny got her. She cried when she opened it, it was cute. I took her out to lunch today because I was working on her birthday. I wanted to give her her gift when I could watch her open it. I got her some silky pjs that she loves! I also took her around town topick up job applications and helped her fill out a couple. THAT, was weird! On the 4th of July K, M, and my sister came over. K is 18 and a HS grad, as you all know. She is definately reveling in her new found independence. She got a tatoo! Yes, my little K, got a tatoo on the top of her foot of a star. Its probably about 3 or 4 inches from left point to right point. Its cute, but it was a little bit of a shock. Not a total and complete shock. She has been weilding her indy since March. So far the only permenant damage she has done is this tatoo. Im also jealous, cause I wanted to get one first but I guess Im waaaay to chicken to let someone color on my skin with a needle!
Happy Birthday Sweet 16!
So today (July 6, 2006) is M's birthday! I cannot believe that she is 16! Sixteen and has had a boyfriend for over a year! I am in shock. My little Ra~Ra~Rissa~Rissa~Pooh~pooh~pooh is a little lady old enough to drive and manipulate her mother like there is nO TOMORROW! Go M! Unfortunately, I did not get to spend any part of today with her. SHe went to Water World all day with her sister and some of her friends and I had to work over night. Tomorrow, I will go take her birthday present to her and take her out to lunch. The top picture is of M on the 4th of July this year, and the second pic is from Easter I think. As you can see, shes pretty flexable! Always has been. Happy Birthday M!

Happy 4th of July & Happy Birthday Mom!
Okay, I tried the Collage This button on Picasa to see what it would do. Looks neat. These are some of the few shots I was able to get with my super mega cheesy digital camera. This is the Fireworks Display put on by my itty bitty home town, A/C. The upper left & lower right ones looks like a face dont they? Today is my Moms bday also. I got her a cake from Sweetie Pies Bakery. It was YUMMMMY! Chocolate cake filled with whole fresh rasberries! She had a good day! Happy Birthday Mom! Love you!
My vampire side rears its ugly head once more!
Its nice to know that you are so needed and skilled at you job itsnt it? My boss tells that if I ever leave and this is a direct quote, "WE are SO SCREWED!" They tell me all the time that the store has never looked so good. Apparently evern our district manager has complimented my work at the store. Here is the down side. I know how to do A LOT in our store, so when things so crazy and wrong, who do you t hink is the FIRST person they call? Yes thats right, me. Yesterday, after already working from 5am ~ 2pm that day, I was at home relaxing. After working the past 2 weeks all graveyard shifts (5pm~2am!) I was off for 2 days and then suddenly thrusted back into god awefull early mornings, hense the 5am ~ 2pm shift. My body, did not like this sudden and abrupt change in sleeping patterns, and did not let me go to sleep until about 1am the night before. So I go in, I do my job and make a hasty retreat at EXACTLY 2pm. On the way home, exhaustion sets in. I make it home fine, but then find myself wide awake. I enjoy a nice diner with the fam, and then just start to relax when it happens. The phone rings! Im not worried though its never for me. "SUSAN PHONE!" is the next sound I hear. I know it can only be one place. work. SHIT! "The person who was scheduled to do audit that night called out sick and we need you to come in and do it. I will give you an extra day off next week paid!"; "Fine, I'll be there at about 930pm" Im soooo not happy but the audit needs done or catastrophic things happen. I go in at 930 that night not happy but thinking it will be a mere 2 hours and I can go home. WRONG AGAIN! THe so called Executive mamagers who supposedly know how to run the store fucked up and caused me and one of my collegues to find where they screwed up and fix it until 330AM!!!! I was indeed PISSED! It came down to the fact that they started a task, and did not complete it! I left a very FIRM voice mail to all of them. I was the one who got stuck working a split 15 hour day and the one who was awake for an entire 24 hour period! Not a happy camper! THe good news it, I have gobs and gobs of favors to pull in and I know EXACTLY when I will call them in!

You are all missed dearly!
Today, I was talking with my
Mother about some pets I had growing up. I dont have them on my computer yet, but these are 3 of our cats who went missing or passed away this year. The first one is Bucky. M's kitty. He was a great hunter and LOVED to play with the feathers on a stick! If you waved it in front of his face, then lifted it off the ground, he would look for it as if it was suddenly lost. He had cancer, love you Bucky! The second pic is Carl, Bucky's twin brother. Also M's kitty. They were INSEPERABLE, until a severe storm frightened Carl and he ran off, never to be seen again :(. He was very pitiful looking when he was wet. We assume that he masterfully removed his coller (again!) and someone took him in out of the rain. He used to love to come in for his nightly attention bath! If you stopped petting him, he gently reminded you of your duty to him with a head butt!
The third picture is Figero, aka: Figgie! She was a little bitty thing, but ruled the house! She was K's kitty and loved the same things she does; luke warm Tea, velvet blankets and good snuggle! Of course, at dinner time Figgie was always quietly sitting next to the table and would gently tap you with her paw to ask for a piece of whatever it is we were eating. She died suddenly from what we found out was cancer.
I just wanted to share 3 of my family members with you all. I love you all dearly, and miss you TONS!

Vampire for 2 weeks
I have been hissing at the sun for the last 2 weeks. I have had the CRAPPIEST schedule at work! We have a new cash audit process that cannot start until after the store is closed and yours truely was elected/appointed to learn it and to train everyone else on it. Yeah, no pressure there! I dont go into work until 5pm and I have been getting home between 2 and 3am!! YUCKY! I cannot wait to get back to doing ONLY my Visual Merchandising!! I am very tired of doing too many things and not getting any compensation. I am no longer going to kill myself doing too many things for an employer who is not wilingto pay me for my efforts. Dont get me wrong, I love the people I work with, just not the company I work for. Yes, I am hunting! Say hello to my buddy Churnabog!

Im me, ifn' ya dont like...........TO BAD FOR YOU! :)
I hate it when that happens. Your soooooo sleepy that you fumble through your underwear drawer and grab what you think is your FAVORITE pair of undies! So you throw your clothes on and then all day you feel weird and you dont really know why. So the magic hour arrives you leave work and when you get home you realize that no your not wearing your favorite undies after all! The ones you have on look like them, but they are not them! SOMEONE HAS BORROWED YOUR UNDERWEAR!!! THEY MUST NOW DIE! Okay, maybe not DIE, but definately suffer somehow! People in my life tend to borrow my stuff and invade my space when Im not looking. THEN, they act as if nothing has happened. It irritates the crap outta me! See, God made personal space for a reason! So do others a favor today, and give them their personal space! In fact, do it ALL THE TIME. The world would be a better place if those nasty space invaders would just all go to Exile Island and eat crushed snails! Dontchya think?

Random pointless blog day
Someday, Id LOVE to see this! Its ony my list! #4 to be exact. Directly under Ireland. Although, I may rearrange my list geographically, because you never know, I may get to cross some places off and if I list them by geographic location, I may be able to cross more of them off. So Im working very odd hours this week. We have gone ot a new cash audit process that has to be done before the store closes or opens. That means that I have to count the money from the days sales right after we boot the last customer out of the store. I left the store at 330am. That would be why this blog was written at 5am. Im not tired yet. If I go to bed before Im tired, I dont sleep. I still am trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I know someone whos been to Italy and has stood in structures that are 1000's of years old. How weird is that? You touched something that was sweat on, spit on, and lots of other things done to it over 2000 years ago!! Boggles the mind! Okay Im done now! G'Night!

I need professional help!
So, I tried to lighten my hair with a drug store hair color. It didnt work that well. Its a little lighter, but I think im gonna have to go to a salon to get the color I want.........OUCH!!!Now, Im going to rant. I may offend the masses of people who read my blog, but it is after all, MY BLOG, and I can say whatever I want. If I offend you, Im sorry, but there are billions of other blogs you are free to go read. So, on with my rant.
I got to talk to my best friend in the entire world today. I dont think she knows that when I talk to her, it is always the bright spot in my day. I was recently given the honor to stand up next to her (sort of) while she married the man of her dreams. The day was jammed full of emotion for everyone. I was feeling so many different things, I didnt know what to say or do for her. So, I did what I knew best to do, just be there for whatever she needed from me. I tried to shield her from anything unpleasant, but was unsuccessfull. It rained on her magical day. TO her and me rain is the best kind of fun. But to most people it is a great annoyance. She would not have minded getting married in the rain, but she gave up that part of her dream to get married in her parents family room. To see her do this, crushed me. Ive known her for 14 years, and when we'd be silly and talk about the imposible dream of marriage, hers was always the same, in her parents front yard, with a bbq reception in the back yard. TO see the cerimony site set up, and ready, but never used, made me cry. Espically the next day when we cleaned up the chairs and people calously tromped over the isle of yellow roses, it made me sad.
The absolute most irritating fact of the entire event was the brushing over the fact that there actually TWO families comming together, not one family getting bigger. My best friends brother, did not get to sit with her at her own rehearsal dinner. He was told to just find a place. The wedding party, was shoved into the corners. Recognized of course by the bride and the groom, but unless you were lucky enough to be a relative of that clan, you were not that important. To their credit, they did have a rather large number of people fly across the country to attend the cerimony. BUT, it was, after all, a celebration of TWO people, not one.
I was relieved to see that the reception was a smash hit! I hope with all my heart and soul that my best friend did have a happy day that she will never forget. I still cry when i look at my dried out flowers that I will try to preserve. Im looking into some kind of shalacking stuff for dried flowers. Ill let you know if it works or not when I test it on something else. No wedding ever happens without a crisis of some kind, and without offending someone. The strength comes from the ability to move on and let the shallow ones drown in their own puddle of conciete. (stop spell checking me K!)
I love you dearly K, my heart was over flowing with pride for you, happiness for you, thinking that B is the lucky one to have found someone to put up with the way he smacks his food, wishing you and him only the VERY VERY VERY best that life has to offer, and of course envy.
Sometimes you just know when things are not going to happen for you. For me, I know that children will never spring forth from my loins, and that marriage or even a long term relationship, is not in my future. Im mostly okay with that. I have friends. Sometimes I get lonley and sometimes I feel like Im imposing on others, but that feeling never lasts too long. Its barable and Im tough most of the time. Ive always known that you would find that magic with someone K, and Im elated for you. Im sorry that your day was not what you dreamed it would be,b ut I hope it was still the very best day.
My little Ka-lala-pooh is all grow'd up!
SHE DID IT! K graduated high school! I have to admit, I was pretty nervous for a while there. She slacked off and had to go to night school in order to graduate, but she did what was necessary, and she made it! I am very proud of her! I, unfortunately, had to work the day she graduated, so I didn't get to see her walk across the stage (yes, I am still angry about that but work will owe me BIG>>>>HUGE>>>>MASSIVE favor!) I did however, hear her graduate. Rissie called just before they announced her name and when they announced it......i cheered for her! then I cried cause I missed it :( She knows that Im proud of her and I love her. That what really matters! Way to go K!

La~Bachelorette in Vegas!
So, I finally developed the roll of film from the Vegas trip in April. This is one of the pics that K did not receive :) I didnt take many, as we were a bit smooooooooshed in this bar. It was recomended by K's friend (Thanks Exercise Queen!) It was a small but great Dueling Piano bar in New York New York. There were like 5 bachelorette parties there and a couple bachelor parties so the place was HOPPIN! We had gone to another the night before and it wasnt really a place we fit into. Espically with a $25 cover charge!! The piano bar crowd was friendly! They made K feel very special and she did look hot that night! The bues brothers were all over her! I believe she even got a bit of cash!At the last minute I threw together a tiarra with a vail on the back (at Ks request of course) that we found at a Claires. I had wanted to make her one, but I wasnt sure if she would wear it! So when she said that she wanted a vail to wear out that night I ws ALL FOR IT! My skills from work actually paid off! It wasnt the most beautiful vail, but it did the trick! She got a few free drinks and some extra attention! All in all the trip was a blast! A bride and her 2 maids of honor hangin out in Vegas for some boy-free time! Or Free boy time, whatever!

Karin & Brads day to Remeber!
Well, the big day has come and gone but will NEVER EVER be forgotten! It didnt exactly go as planned. It rained, and for an outdoor wedding and reception, you'd think that would be a disaster. And honestly, it was for a short while. It broke my heart to see Karin so beautiful and so sad on what was the best day of her life. Inside, I was a complete wreck! I tried very hard to stay strong for Karin and reassure her that it will still be okay all will be beautiful and she will still marry Brad which was the most important thing that day.
Well the cerimony ended up being in her parents family room with about 110 people crammed in the kitchen and around the family room. Instead of Karin walking down to Brad on yellow rose petals in her front yard, she walked, crying her happy tears through her kitchen! Definately, a day to remember! I cried through the entire cerimony!
The rain lightened up enough for everyone to sit down and enjoy Kinders BBQ! YUM! YUM! YUM! Even though it began to sprinkle rain a little, people just popped up their unbrellas and kept on eating! Then came time for my toast! OOOH! My voice cracked and I got choaked up, but managed to keep it together long enough spit something out that Im sure was pretty good!
I ended up having my cry for my best friend and her new husband the next day on the way to the Oakland airport for the second time that day to pick up my parents. Yes, I am a TOTAL cheese ball! It definately was a day I will never forget! Watching Karin dance with her daddy to What a Wonderful World in the rain! Makes me cry just typing it! Watching her in her first dance with her husband in the rain! It was really romantic! And the fact that nobody left and everyone started dancing in the rain! WOW!
Karin & Brad, may life always smile on you both! May you never go to bed angry or holding a grudge, ALWAYS talk, ALWAYS put one another and your marriage above anything else, dont loose the romance (no matter how badly it makes Mel wanna puke), keep honesty and truth in the front, and Brad remember, Karin is always right! I love you guys with all that I am!

NOT my day today
So, I ordered this cool gift for my Best Friend for her wedding. Paid EXTRA for 2nd day air, and whaddya know, its not here. UPS says they delivered it, but low and behold, its not here and I have to wait to talk to the merchant to find out what happened. What is the fuckin point of having a tracking number if when you give it to UPS, they just tell you to contact the merchant. Ok if your telling me you delivered it, and I dont have it, and the merchant sent it, wouldnt it then be UPS's problem for loosing the fuckin thing!
And yet again, my niece is lying to everyone. She "borrowed" her grandpas car. You see the problem is Grandpa doesnt let her use it unless it is an absolute emergency and she knows that, the other problem is, Grandpa is not here for her to ask. He is is South Carolina on vacation. So she takes his car then tells me that she will bring it back that night. Fine, Im pissed but shes bringing it back. Later that night around 9pm, shes still not here with the car. I have to be at work at 5am the next day and I NEED to get to bed. I call her and she says at first that she is in night school and will bring it after shes done. 1030pm and she is still not here, and no call. So, I call her again. She tells me that her Mom wont let her leave the house because she thinks shes gonna take the car out so she "has to keep it" I KNOW she lying but by this time it is after 11 and I have to drag my tired ass out of bed for work in 4 fuckin hours. I am REALLY pissed at this point but manage to sound very calm on the phone. Day 2 of the car heist, I call her at around 745am before school, on my way to a dentist appointment. I tell her to have the car back at the house this afternoon no acceptions and fill it with gas. I know she has found my secret stash of money and has helped herself because I was gonna dip into it and it was gone. She tells me oh Mom gave me a gas card I can fill it no problem. Great, Im thinking. I have work today, wedding stuff, and the car will be safe and sound back at home. Kayla has managed to piss off a few people in her time at high school (havent we all) and I get nervous about her having it at school. Teens these days have zero respect for personal property, especially really nice expensive Suburbans. I get home from my day around 700pm, no fuckin Suburban!
I have zero trust in Kayla now, and that is the saddest part about this story. Yes I am UNBELIEVABLY PISSED at her and she will definately get a talking to from Grandma and Grandpa not that she will listen. She seems to have no reguard for anyone except herself. Does what she wants when she wants and to hell with anyone else. On the same note though, she writes in school papers that her family doesnt trust her or believe in her and shes doing things just to prove us wrong. Well my dear when your pattern is lying, stealing & sneaking around that sort of breaks any trust you have built. When you go from a near 4.0 GPA in junior high, to nearly flunking out in high school and cutting just about every class, yeah out faith in you is pretty shaken. When we give you opportunity after opportunity to prove that your worthy of being trusted you do things like through a party while your mom is gone with boose, boys and all the trimmings, and I fuckin covered for you! What am I suppose to do? I love you in spite of your idot acts, but I do not trust you as far as I can throw you.

Brad & Karin's big day approacheth!
OMG!! In less than 2 weeks, my bestest friend in the entire world will marry the man of her dreams. That is so weird to see in print. I have a few things left to do still. I have to speak! It needs to be touching, a little witty, and without tears...........HA! HA! HA! I couldnt type that without laughing! I am going to cry the whole day pretty much. I need to find ultra mega water proof makeup! EEEEEEEE gads! I changed her name in my address book. I wrote Brad and Karin Herman and teared up! I am a big ball of goo and its all your fault Karin, but I love you for it!

FINALLY SUN!!!!!
Im so happy to see sunlight!! That means that the ground will start to dry up so Karins wedding wont be on gushy ground and none of the ladies wearing heals will sink! Vegas wasa blast! It was so good to spend some quality girl time with just Karin, myself, and Mel. I learned that I like dueling piano bars and that I still cant dance. So if your wondering if when you get older you may pick up some dancing vibes along the aging path of life, your wrong! Your either born with dancing abilities, or your not. I am not! Its okay though, I shake it every once in a while when I just cant help it!
